HELLO I AM ALIVE. Sorry I have not blogged much recently, or like, a whole lot this year. I could make excuses, but the truth is I’m just kind of waiting for my inspiration for it to return? It will. It’s just elsewhere right now. But I’m still here!! Anyway, Hadeer tagged me for this award, with these questions by Rachel. Thanks Hadeer, and Rachel!!

Hardest Game of “Would You Rather” for Book Nerds
I saw this on Kristin Kraves Books and thought it looked fun! It’s created by Thrice Reads, who found these questions in a Buzzfeed article.
Would you rather have a friend who loses your books, or one who dog-ears them?
This is an unexpectedly hard question…both of these options pain me…but I’m going with the dog-eared one. Better than losing my dear books I’ve paid good money for.
Would you rather secretly love a book everyone else hates, or secretly hate a book everyone else loves?
Love a book everyone hates! Even if I have no one to talk about it with, I’d rather have fun reading.
The Spring Cleaning Book Tag
I was tagged by Shanah at Bionic Bookworm this morning for this tag, and it looked fun, so thank you Shanah!! I must say that some of these answers turned out to be more challenging to come up with than expected, but I like a tag that makes me think 😉
THE STRUGGLE OF GETTING STARTED: A BOOK OR SERIES YOU STRUGGLE TO BEGIN BECAUSE OF ITS SIZE
One day…I will overcome my intimidation of this series! I actually tried starting it back in December and read the first few chapters of book 1, and I enjoyed them, but I wasn’t in the mood for committing to something so long. And it probably wasn’t my smartest move starting it the day before Christmas when I got a bunch of new books the next day. BUT ONE DAY!!
Not Good Enough Tag
I saw this on Kyera’s Library and thought it looked fun!! Make sure to check out her blog!
Onto the tag! I love questions that play around with personalities.
HOW IT WORKS:
- You write down the names of 30 fictional characters on pieces of paper.
- You pick two names at a time and answer each of the 15 questions. For each question one of the two characters will be the one you believe fits best and the other is “not good enough”.
YOU ONLY HAVE ONE MORE SPOT ON YOUR SPELLING BEE TEAM, WHO WOULD YOU PICK TO COMPLETE YOUR TEAM?
HENRY WINTER (THE SECRET HISTORY) VS. PERCY JACKSON
Henry FOR SURE. He’d get all the super obscure words and probably be able to win the entire contest all on his own.
Bookish Naughty List Tag
This tag was created by Jennielly, and I saw it on her blog and thought it looked like a lot of fun! Also, go follow her because she writes great posts 🙂
Rules
- Tag & link the person who tagged you
- Tag and link the creator of this tag
- Tick/cross off the ones you’ve done
- Tag another 10 people
- Received an ARC and not reviewed it
I received 3 ARCs this year and reviewed them all….one I only got halfway through before I couldn’t do it anymore, but I still sent Netgalley a review saying why I didn’t finish it, and put it on Goodreads, so I say that counts!
End of the Year Book Tag
I was tagged by the wonderful Noriko for this tag- thank you, Noriko! If you don’t follow, her, please go check out her blog because she is LOVELY!
Ummm I can’t believe we’re at the end of the year already, WOW. Almost time to reboot that Goodreads challenge :O
Reread, Rewrite, Burn Tag
I saw this tag on Kristen Kraves Books and thought it looked fun, so I gave it a whirl. I randomized my books on Goodreads and this is what I got!
THE RULES:
- Randomly choose 3 books
- For each group, decide which book to burn, which one to rewrite, and which to reread (like Marry, Boff, Kill).
- Repeat until you completed three rounds (or six) (or however many you want to do).
The Fall for Books Tag
Thank you Chelsea for tagging me! I haven’t done a tag in forever and was kind of in a tagging slump the last month…but this one was fun and simple, and I really enjoyed doing it! Everyone please go follow Chelsea, she’s super awesome and loves books and theater and ballet!
En route to Alaska / The Fall Book Tag
I have been BUSY recently. Too busy. I’ve managed to read one book in like, two weeks. But tomorrow I’m leaving to go on a roadtrip from Seattle to Anchorage, Alaska, and I’m very excited and hope to get some reading done while I travel. A friend randomly called me up and asked me to help her move to Anchorage, so…how could I say no to that? I’ll be away from the internet for a week traversing the Canadian wilderness (literally camping), but hopefully when I come back I’ll feel more refreshed. I’ve been a little burnt out from posting and general online activity lately (I blame all the computer time at work).
I leave on a plane at 7:05 Saturday morning (RIP me), so I’m probably in the air as you read this 😀
ALSO it finally feels fallish outside so this tag feels appropriate. Thank you to the lovely Mischenko for tagging me for this one!! Please go check out her blog, she talks about books and music and animals and food (just to name a few things)!
This tag was created by Shanah at Bionic Bookworm, so please give her blog a visit as well! I recommend her Top 5 Tuesdays 🙂
I Dare You Book Tag
I was tagged by Hadeer for this tag, and everyone else did it like, two weeks ago and I’m lagging, but better late than never, right? Thanks Hadeer! If you don’t follow her, I recommend checking out her blog, she writes really insightful and thorough reviews, and also posts original writing!!
RULES:
You must be honest
You must answer all the questions
You must tag at least 4 people
1. What book has been on your shelf the longest?
When I was born my parents had this book made called “Baby’s First Book” or something along those lines, and it’s basically about bringing home a baby from the hospital, and they had it personalized with my name and the names of my relatives and whatnot. So it was like “On February 11, a bouncing baby named Stephanie came into the world! Donna and Steven were delighted. Grandma Kay thought she was the most adorable baby ever.” It’s funny to read, especially since I don’t even call my grandmother “Grandma Kay.” It’s still on my shelf, so I think it’s a safe bet.
