The Raven Cycle Book Tag

ravencycle__span

I recently realized I’ve just passed the 1 year anniversary of this blog becoming a book blog on September 12, when I posted my review of The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater, effectively transforming this blog into a book blog because I needed a place to talk about it. It’s a terrible review, don’t go read it (I’m serious, I knew nothing about writing reviews). This series also rekindled my love of reading after college burned me out, and led me back to the book world :’)

Guilty Reader Book Tag

Hadeer and Rachel did this tag recently and I thought it looked fun! And I just want to apologize to all you kind people who tag me and nominate me for things and then I veer off and do all these tags no one’s tagged me for. I swear I keep track of them all and have them in a list….maybe one day I’ll catch up… I always appreciate it, though ❤

The Liebster Award

3and3quarters.net

I’m procrastinating because it’s Friday and it’s been a long week, and Naty tagged me for this award and her questions were so pleasantly bookish I had to do them right away. Thank you, Naty!!

What book you wish you could un-read to experience it for the first time again?

Harry Potter. I mean, realistically I wouldn’t erase my mind of it because all my teen years were such an experience with it and my life literally revolved around Harry Potter and it taught me so much as a tiny youth, but I’d love to experience them again.

What’s your Hogwarts house?

Hufflepuff!

Many thanks to both Sarah at The Clever Reader and Ryann the Reader for nominating me for this tag! And thanks to Mandy at Princess Book Reviews for creating it, I love the categories and questions, they’re so fun! Please check out all of their blogs if you haven’t, they’re all so nice and enthusiastic!

THE COMIC RELIEF – NAME YOUR FAVORITE HILARIOUS CHARACTER OR YOUR FAVORITE COMEDY/FUNNY BOOK

Obviously Carswell Thorne immediately came to mind. He cracked me up so much I would literally send screenshots of some of his dialogue to my best friend who’s never even read these books to make her laugh with me. What a guy.

Ultimate Harry Potter Tag

rxPisua.jpg

This may just be my favorite tag yet, so thank you Rachel at pace, amore, libri for tagging me! Harry Potter is my favorite book series in the universe and it’s had a huge part in making me the person I am today. It’s brought me so much joy. Happy 20th anniversary, Harry ❤

GENERAL

1. Favourite book?

Prisoner of Azkaban or Deathly Hallows. Azkaban probably wins by a hair, but for more sentimental reasons. That book is just the definition of a comfort read for me. I mean, all of them are, but. Azkaban.

2. Least favourite book?

Ahhh probably Sorcerer’s Stone. I still love it, I just like the rest more. I’ve probably read Sorcerer’s Stone the most out of all of them, though (in many aborted rereads of the series). Continue reading

Rapid Fire Book Tag

Thank you Hadeer at Hadeer Writes for tagging me to do this tag!! This one was fun- usually I spend too much time on my answers for tags so I tried to really stick to the “rapid fire” spirit of this one and just go with my gut answers. I really need to overthink less often.

Question 1: E-books or Physical Books?

Physical! I love ebooks when I’m traveling though.

Question 2: Paperbacks or Hardbacks?

Hmmm this is tricky, but I think overall I’m going to go with paperbacks, even though hardcovers can be so pretty. Paperbacks are just easier to read and I enjoy the feel of them more.

Thanks to Shanah at Bionic Book Worm for tagging me! I’ve fallen behind on tags, but this one looked like a lot of fun and I had the time, so I couldn’t resist doing it right away!

1 – THE BEST BOOK YOU’VE READ SO FAR IN 2017

29044

This is hard!!! I’m tempted to name several, but I’m going to force myself to go with one, and that’s The Secret History. It was the very first book I read this year, and I did not mean to set the bar for every other book to come in 2017 but I guess I did. I ADORE this book. It excels in every category for me: writing, character, plot, general atmosphere of beauty and tragedy. It’s awful and fantastic and I’ll love it forever.
